Mark Sengbusch
L.WAYV Galelry Artist
Mark Sengbusch draws inspiration from diverse sources, including architecture, video games, antiques, and Folk Song(Popular music influenced by modern folk in the United States during the period around 1970). Their childhood experiences with wood blocks, Atari, and Nintendo game have influenced their artistic journey. After working as a painter for 20 years, a transformative visit to Abu Dhabi and Japan sparked a shift towards sculpture-making, combining flat shapes from paintings to create maquettes. Their exploration of color ranges from muted tones of the 80s to vibrant hues of the 90s, contemplating the interplay between memory, perception, and reality.
