Matthew Barney
Matthew Barney, born in 1967 in San Francisco, is an artist known for sculptural installations, performance art, and video. His work explores the physicality of sports, sexuality, and the limits of the body. In his one of the latest project, Redoubt, he creates a complex portrait of the American landscape by layering classical, cosmological, and American myths about humanity's place in the natural world.
