Rita Ackermann
Rita Ackermann, a Hungarian-born artist based in New York, explores the interplay of creation and destruction in her evolving practice. Her compositions bridge the figurative and the abstract, with human forms simultaneously appearing and vanishing. Through her Chalkboard Paintings series, Ackermann conceptually erases and deletes figurative drawings and landscapes, leaving behind residual outlines that form a visual record of the process.
